Burdan Egg’s Difference

Eggs produced in Burdan Egg facilities are produced in the latest technology closed system poultry houses used in the world. Thanks to the state-of-the-art cage systems, the rate of pollution and hidden cracks decreases in eggs obtained from hens that grow healthier and more comfortably. This extends the shelf life of the eggs.

Our facility, where our eggs are packed and packaged, produces under hygienic conditions in accordance with HACCP criteria. Burdan Egg’s sorting packaging center produces in accordance with quality management systems with the “International Food Safety Standard” (British Retail Consortium) BRC and the Food Safety Management System FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification). It is the first egg facility to receive the Halal certificate approved by TSE and Diyanet. It is an egg facility with ISO 10002 (Customer Satisfaction-Complaint Management System) certificate in order to maintain the importance it attaches to its customers.

The eggs are transported from the henhouse to the packaging center in completely closed tunnels without being affected by external weather conditions and pollutants, and are packaged in a clean way by preserving the first instant freshness and temperature.

No animal products are used in the feeds that chickens are fed. Chickens producing Burdan eggs are fed with plant feeds. In this way, our eggs do not contain any risk that may harm health. Biosecurity measures are given great importance in our facility, and eggs are obtained from healthy chickens, whose health checks are carried out daily by veterinarians.

Eggs arriving at the sorting center are collected automatically, without human touch, after being weighed one by one, they are packed and delivered to your table, each of the same size, quality, taste and freshness.

You will get the Burdan Egg in the package first. From the cage to the package, the eggs enter untouched by fully automatic systems. In this way, contamination from outside is prevented.

An effective Biosafety Program is implemented at Burdan egg facilities in order to prevent possible disease factors for the health of laying hens, for notifiable poultry diseases and food safety.

The smell and taste of our eggs, which are produced from chickens fed with plant feeds by applying international food standards in accordance with the “Continuous Perfection System” in Burdan Egg facilities, are the distinguishing features.

Burdan Egg has also invested in renewable energy sources with its sensitivity to the environment; and in September 2020, the GES (Solar Power Plant) investment was made in the Burdan egg production facilities and pullet production facilities of Verim Gıda Ürünleri AŞ, one of its subsidiaries. The DC capacity of this investment, which was registered as the highest capacity SPP project accepted in the UEDAŞ region in Bursa, is 3,975 kWp.

With this investment, Burdan has broken new ground with the goal of producing 4.800.000 kWh/year of electricity annually, preventing 2.117,000 kg/year of CO2 emissions and producing 412.6 TEP/year (TEP = Total Equivalent Petroleum) in its egg production facilities.
